Hospitality chose me early on. While obtaining my undergrad degree in San Diego, California, I landed a part-time job as a front desk agent at the quaint little oceanfront hotel. The hotel was privately owned and managed by a small team who empowered and entrusted me in all aspects of the operation. With a background in family and start-up businesses I’ve learned that there is a great sense of pride and ownership that comes from this experience. It goes beyond the Monday through Friday 8 hour workday. Work ethic is at heart because we treat the business as if it is our own. I fell in love with my part-time job and the people I worked with and hospitality became my calling. Now with over 16 years intentionally working with renown resorts, spas, restaurants and airlines, I remain passionate about hospitality and service as a differentiator and competitive advantage in business and I pride myself on supporting companies big and small in sharing and maintaining these standards.
